Nestled in a serene residential neighborhood of Japan, The Noble House by Apollo Architects stands as a testament to harmonious multigenerational living. This remarkable home rebuild project centers around a sprawling garden, serving as the heart and soul of the property.
From the lush greenery to the meticulously crafted exterior and thoughtfully designed interior spaces, every aspect of this residence exudes tranquility and privacy. In a time when spending more time at home has become the norm, The Noble House offers a respite from the mundane, creating an urban haven that invites its residents to embrace a resort-like atmosphere.
At the core of The Noble House lies its verdant garden, meticulously planned to incorporate diverse species scattered throughout the space. Towering board-formed concrete walls encircle the property, ensuring both security and privacy for its occupants. Emphasizing the landscape design are two majestic pine trees that were already rooted in the site, anchoring the overall aesthetic.
Greeting visitors is a grand gate and door crafted from wooden louvers, leading to a broad approach that captivates with an ancient olive tree, majestically placed opposite the front door. The exterior of The Noble House harmoniously blends nature and architecture, offering a captivating visual experience from the moment one sets foot on the property.
The first floor of The Noble House caters primarily to the needs of the client's mother, providing a living space that offers breathtaking views of the ever-changing seasons in the garden. The living room and bedroom serve as vantage points, allowing the occupant to immerse themselves in the natural beauty that surrounds them. Additionally, a small home office adjacent to the built-in garage creates a workspace where the client can revel in their car collection while working. While the back of the office is the tatami room for the client’s meditation and tea breaks.
On the second floor, where the younger generation resides, a balcony offers a picturesque view of the garden, beckoning residents to connect with nature. An interior terrace adorned with a generous skylight bathes the living spaces in abundant natural light, fostering a harmonious connection between the indoors and outdoors. A small courtyard on the north side of the house, facing the bedroom, bathroom, and stairs, fills these areas with a gentle, diffused glow, creating a serene and tranquil ambiance.
In a time marked by COVID-19 and its travel restrictions, The Noble House emerges as an architectural marvel that caters to the need for a sanctuary within the city. With its enchanting garden and resort-like atmosphere, this design encapsulates the essence of urban homes that provide solace from the monotony of everyday life. The Noble House by Apollo Architects exemplifies a perfect fusion of aesthetics, functionality, and an innate connection to nature, offering its inhabitants a peaceful haven amidst the chaos of the world.
