The J Cut is one of the easiest, most fundamental kinds of edits in film and video. In a J cut, we hear the next clip before we see it. The J cut is a way to make a smooth transition between shots by having the audio of the next clip come in to the first clip before we see the next clip. The effect is subtle, but extremely effective. In this video I show you two ways to create a J cut in CapCut for the Desktop (I also briefly show you the L cut).
