🕷️ Selene is behaving better than Zaan and it overall a great option for every content, I wouldn't recommend ever using Velothi on a ST boss fight on a Nightblade.
This patch got a rework of maelstrom 2h, which is overall a nerf but affects nightblade less than other classes due to the synergy with Bow proc and Execute.
🦇 The buff to cloak is very nice as it allows you to use vampire stage 2 and get the spell damage passive + access to arterial burst.
⚝ Sentinel is perfectly usable (and should be used) in content, don't listen to people who tells you it's irrealistic, I am currently streaming a vKA prog where I am using sentinel on every boss even Falgravn HM, it behaves way better than any other set.
✍️ Sustain is very hard, I would deeply recommend to be High Elf and use Siphoning Strike in content, great sustain tool and nice passive self heal : https://eso-skillbook.com/skill/sipho...
🗡️ This setup is best-in-slot for every encounter where you can use Sentinel like Falgravn, Ryelaz, Vrol, Yaseyla, etc...
△ If you need to move in a single target focused fight, you should use Null Arca/Relequen with AY (around 3k loss to Highland) : https://imgur.com/a/vKW3JeH
△ If you are playing AoE fights like Reef Guardian or Bahsei, you should use Ansuul/Relequen/Depth + Azureblight with Velothi.
△ In 4 Man content/Solo, you should consider use Swallow Soul + Blood for Blood as spammable and reach pen cap using Bahsei's Mania.
🏹 If you want to play range, you should use a Bow frontbar and master bow backbar.
⛧ You want the bow because the stats are just better than what a lightning staff would give you, even if you will not use any bow skills on frontbar.
⚠️ Be aware that nightblade is still a bad class in PvE as damage dealer.
You can do satisfying single target, but not much more than a necromancer for exemple, but above all, you will have literally 0 cleave damage, and 0 group utility that would justify to play NB over Necromancer or Arcanist.
(I'm talking only in a tryhard perspective ofc play what u want just don't expect the moon)

⌛️ Skill priority is : Carve Stacks ➤ Merciless proc ➤ Stampede ➤ Trap ➤ Shade ➤ Debilitate ➤ Cloak ➤ Invis Cloak ➤ Arterial
💡Use Impale after 25%. Don't recast Merciless proc past 25%. Don't recast Carve past 15%. Keep Shade, Cloak and Debilitate until 12%. Keep up Trap, Cloak and Stampede until 6%.
🌠 Try to Incap with a maximum number of DoTs up, optimally when your target is about to get offbalanced.
Make sure to shoot two bow procs during Incap timing.
