Cicadas
If you are traveling through the park you will hear a distinct sound
emanating from the woods. It is the Cicada (Magicicada neotredecim)
that has decided to appear after a 13-year life cycle. The species can
be identified by its reddish eyes and wing veins and a black dorsal
thorax.
