Reimagine the Experience
The South Carolina State Museum is embarking on an ambitious new journey to “re-imagine” its permanent galleries and feature more of its extensive collection to better engage with new and returning audiences.
This collaborative project will offer guests the opportunity to connect with each other and the many communities that call this state home through immersive, multimedia experiences featuring in-depth explorations of artifacts, natural history specimens and art from the museum’s collection. New permanent exhibitions will focus on sharing thought-provoking and fascinating stories leaving guests with a deep appreciation for the state’s complex past and ready to contribute its bold future.
