Armed criminals got a tremendous surprise in South Africa, a nation located in the south of the African continent.
In recent years, this country has experienced a wave of robberies of armored cash transport vehicles, some of these incidents ending with fatal consequences for the operators traveling in them.
On April 22, 2021, criminals wanted to do their thing again in the city of Pretoria. They thought it would be a run-of-the-mill robbery, like their usual ones, but this time they messed with the wrong person.
Leo Prinsloo is a retired South African Police Service Special Forces officer currently serving as a trainer for Fortis Pro Active Defence's Lone Operator Courses, which focuses on self-defense using all types of weapons and more, a skill Leo has proven to be an expert in.
In the video captured by the camera located inside the vehicle, Leo is seen traveling with his colleague Lloyd Mtombeni, the latter with less experience in the field than the veteran. Prinsloo constantly looks at the rearview mirrors and notices two suspicious vehicles following him: a white van and a black Audi.
In the footage, it can be seen that first, they were overtaken by the white van; a few seconds later, the occupants of the black car began shooting, with the driver's side being hit by bullets.

After this, an evasive feat by his attackers began. Leo even tried to run over the criminals traveling in the white van. They were waiting up ahead to shoot him, but they had quick reflexes.
They boarded the truck and began chasing him again, trying to hit him from the side so he would lose control. However, Leo's training gave him a wide advantage over the criminals.
In the video, it can be seen that he always acted with nerves of steel, executing maneuvers as if in an action movie, except that in this recording, the movements were not planned or pre-researched.
Meanwhile, Lloyd, his companion, seemed paralyzed with fear, as if disconnected from the situation they were in.
"Get ready, those bastards are going to shoot," he told Lloyd.
Indeed, one of the shots hit the passenger window.
Later, Prinsloo is seen instructing Lloyd to call Robbie and Josh and ask them where they are, but Lloyd seemed to have forgotten how to use his cell phone. Leo continued driving, with a single Their objective: to prevent the criminals from taking control of their vehicle.
After several adrenaline-filled minutes, Leo and Lloyd were unable to continue their journey as the truck got stuck, forcing Leo to get out of his vehicle to fight the criminals.
They fled, however, Leo managed to shoot one of the occupants of the Audi, who was left at the scene by his henchmen.
