Cloudera Manager 4.5 Install in VMWare
Installation of Cloudera Manager 4.5 from scratch on CentOS 6 (6.3) in vmware workstation. I show how to install CentOS from scratch, cache the repositories for CentOS, Cloudera's Distribution, including Apache Hadoop CDH4 (4.2) and Cloudera Manager CM4 (4.5), and install the whole thing.
Total run-time of the install is just over 1 hour, but that's with me talking and doing everything by hand.
I will distill the script of everything I do to set up the operating system into a kickstart file so as to speed up the creation of n0 prior to clone, making the whole process less than 5 minutes to have 6 nodes of VMs ready to hit with the install of Cloudera Manager
