Optimus’ Primal fury is unleashed on the Predacons.
Optimus takes Tarantulas, making sure he gets the point, to not take him on. Which explains why later on in the series, whenever faced with the possibility of having to engage Optimus in combat, Tarantulas takes the opportunity to either run away or hide. It explains why he is so afraid of Optimus going forward in the series, because he literally got impaled by him.
