How does observation of the natural world contribute to our well-being? How can journaling methods contribute to citizen science? We will take a look at the history of recording natural phenomena, early naturalists, and their contemporaries. Viewers can do some practice writing and sketching as well (it's not about being an artist, but an observer!)

Discover new ways to build on your own understanding of, and relationship with, the natural world. Short excerpts from the author's latest book of nature writing are also included!

Angela Cannon-Crothers is the Forest School and Interpretive Programs Coordinator for RMSC's Cumming Nature Center. She holds a M.S. in Environmental Education and undergraduate degrees in ecology and environmental science. When not practicing primitive skills and awareness games with children, she enjoys hiking with her puppy, Rhubarb.
