Although I use the 4th generation model in the video, the logic and steps in the Alexa app are exactly the same for the 5th generation and the rest of the Echo family. The goal is for you to lose your fear of the first setup and have it up and running in just a few minutes.
Once you have your speaker set up on your local network, the logical next step to go beyond basic commands is to integrate it into your home automation server. These speakers are an excellent voice interface to control your home through Home Assistant.
