The Division Heartland is going to BLOW YOUR MIND
Did you know that a DMZ extraction shooter-style game is being made in The Division universe? It’s called The Division Heartland and this is going to blow your mind. And it’s free! Heartland is basically a giant dark zone and is launching with all of the features you wish were in the DMZ. It has elements from the division survival that everyone loved but not enough people played. You can go in solo or with teams of up to 3. When you first start this game as a Shade Agent, you’ll help rebuild the base of operations by exploring the town of Silver Creek. So make sure you extract with the right materials! The world is filled with deadly contamination, deadly hoards of enemies, and the threat of sickness and dehydration. Take a second and hit that like and follow button to stay up to date with everything related to The Division Heartland. There is a day and night cycle and at night is when the threat of survival increases drastically. There doesn’t seem to be a timer but it seems to be a full day and night you can spend in the game. However, as the contamination spreads you’ll have less and less area to explore. So don’t get caught in the gas! Then when the time comes, you have to get to the extraction helicopter and hopefully survive all those thirsty rogue agents looking to steal your loot. As you progress you can select 1 of 3 classes. Weapons expert, medic, and survivalist. You can progress and unlock more abilities as you level them up. There is a crafting station outside of the raid to prepare your “Go Bag” for your run. You can craft equipment, resources, and consumables. As the contamination spreads, you can only safely explore those areas with gas masks. You can have multiple gas masks but they deplete fairly quickly! So make sure you’re prepared! There is the constant threat of dehydration. If you get dehydrated, one of the negative effects is it slows down your movement. You need to bring in or find fresh uncontaminated water to stay hydrated. The base of operations will continuously be expanded and is a shared space where you can talk, group up with other agents and customize your character. Hopefully, some form of trading is available too! This will be a free-to-play live game and constantly evolve and receive updates to keep things fresh and exciting. I’m incredibly pumped up for this game. It looks just like what I’ve been wanting since they first introduced The Darkzone which really was the birth of extraction shooters.
