Behind the scenes of The Rite of Spring act 1
In September 2018, The Rite of Spring, a show where the dancer and choreographer Fredrik "Benke" Rydman dances with an industrial robot, had its premiere at House of Culture (Kulturhuset) in Stockholm. Act 1 in the show is a collaboration between ABB and Kulturhuset Stadsteatern Stockholm. The task to program the dancing robot, ABB's industrial robot IRB 6620, was executed by Robotdalen.
This movie shows how the production was made and what it looked like behind the scenes - from the first meeting at Robotdalen and the rehearsal exercises in an industrial venue in Västerås to the premiere at House Of Culture’s big stage in Stockholm.
