Starting today, I will do a new series of Persona 4 Arena games. It's a short series, because it features only 2 games. This first game, was released in 2012 for arcade and consoles and is part of the famous RPG Persona (a sub-series of Megami Tensei). I didn't knew anything about Persona, but the fact it was a Arc System Works game, have made me try the game. But at that time, I didn't like it so much, the gameplay was very different from other ASW games, but I have appreciated the art and graphics. Sometime after, I have watched the two Persona 4 anime series and liked it a lot. After this, I began to like the game a little more.
For anyone who didn't played the original Persona 4, will have problem to understand the story, that is very complex (the game has a long Story Mode)... For this reason I will not review it here. In this series, I will play as Chie Satonaka. Almost all characters of the game has weapons, but Chie's weapon is herself! She's a cute 17 years old kung-fu fighter with awesome moves and combos. She has the title "Spunky Dragon with Deadly Legs" (Otoko-masari no Ashiwaza-kei Doragon) translated literally as "the dragon with leg martial skills who surpasses all males". Her title in the original promotional video is The Carnivore Who's Discarded Womanhood (Onna o Suteta Nikushoku-jū) a reference to her undying consumption of meats and being a fan of martial arts.
