The Goliath Project: Student Loan Forgiveness Cliff Notes
This video is for those who have asked how to receive for student loans forgiveness.
Millions people have Federal student loans totaling $1.59 Trillion and counting this represents about 90% of student loans. Right now, more than 3 million borrowers are eligible or nearing eligibility for student loan forgiveness.
As of 2021 493,444 Federal student loans were Forgiven of that number only 30,000 benefited from Temporary Expanded Public Service Loan Forgiveness measly 5.9%. As of today about 550,000 borrowers qualify for TEPSL.
In this video I will explain important points on how I was awarded student loan forgiveness under the TEPSLF. However, the strategy can be used with any Federal loan. First and foremost, I was persistent and resilient with doing the following:
1. Track all submissions by writing down conversations with representatives in logbook. Record the name, employee identification number, time of day, date, your question and their response
2. Ensure Error Free Records by reviewing what has been sent to you
3. Get Status of Process by calling the appropriate party with questions on the completion frame. If it is stalled, why?
4. Read and Follow Instructions on forms or documentation. For example, Use requested date format or any other special request. Incorrect date format could result in an uncounted payment. Stay with a Qualified Employer until the discard is complete.
5. Keep Good Records by saving or copying every document you send or receive. Keep payment records with receipts to prove you paid within window that makes your payment count towards forgiveness
6. Challenge Incorrect Certified Information by ensuring your dates of employment, employer name and certification dates are correct. Be sure to validate your employer as a qualified employer if asked. Some of the requests might sound ridiculous or repetitive. However, you must comply.
