Overnight Camping with a Tarp Shelter

I have wanted to do this for a long time now. It's always risky to bring gear on a paddleboard, not to mention cameras and backpacks. I paddled on to an island and spent night there. On my trip I encountered goshawks and an unidentified large land mammal. There were thousands of mosquitoes out there, but for some reason they didn't find me very tasty. Maybe they were all males or a subspecies that doesn't suck blood?
