Past indefinite
Past indefinite tense का प्रयोग भूतकाल मैं किये कार्य को बताने के लिए होता है | इसके साथ अक्सर भूतकाल के समयसूचक शब्दों का प्रयोग होता है | जैसे yesterday, a week ago, last year etc.
जैसे
वह यहाँ कल आया था |
He came here yesterday.
मुझे तुम्हारा message पिछले हफ्ते मिला था |
I received you message last week.
उसने पिछले साल स्कूल छोड़ दिया |
She left school last year.

कभी कभी past indefinite tense मैं समय सूचक सब्दो का प्रयोग नहीं होता है | पर वाक्य से क्रिया के भूतकाल मैं होने का पता चलता है |
जैसे
मैंने अंग्रेजी लखनऊ मैं सीखी |
I learnt English in Lucknow.
इस वाक्य से हमें english सीखने का काम भूतकाल मैं हुआ हैं पता चलता है | अतः इस वाक्य को past indefinite मैं ही बनायेंगे |
मैं सही से सो नहीं पाया |
I didn’t sleep well.
उन्होंने मेरी सहायता की |
They helped me
वह रोज कई घंटे पढता था |
He studied many hours every day.
वह रोज सुबह चाय पिया करता था |
He drank tea every morning.
Past indefinite tense के वाक्यों को english मैं translate करने का तरीका |
past indefinite टेंस के affirmative sentence मैं verb की 2nd form का प्रयोग होता है |
structure – subject + verb 2nd from + object.

Past indefinite tense के negative sentence मैं verb कि first form और did helping verb का प्रयोग होता है
structure – subject + did + not + verb 1st from + object.
आज मोहन नहीं हकलाया
Today Mohan did not stammer.
आज राम नहीं तुतलाया
Ram did not lisp today.
तुमने मेरे सवाल का जवाब नहीं दिया
You did not answer my question.
मैंने आप को पहचाना नहीं |
I did not recognize you.
मैंने यह अपनी आँखों से नहीं देखा
I did not see it with my own eyes.
हमने उनमें से किसी को दुबारा नहीं देखा
We did not see any of them again.

First type interrogative को English मैं translate करने का तरीका -
Structure – Did + subject + verb 1st form + object.
क्या तुमने किसी से आने के लिए पूंछा ?
Did you ask anybody to come?
क्या तुम उसके पापा को देखने हॉस्पिटल गए थे ?
Did you go to see his father to the hospital?
क्या तुम दिल्ली मैं दस साल रहे ?

Structure – Question word + Did + subject + verb + object.

जब प्राकृतिक मोत होती है तो of preposition का प्रयोग करते हैं
वह बुखार से मर गई
She died of fever.
वह भूख से मर गई
She died of hunger.
जब अप्राकृतिक मोत होती है तो to preposition का प्रयोग होता है
उसे गला घोटकर मारा गया
He was throttle to death.
उसे मुंह मैं कपडा ठूंस के मारा गया
He was muffle to death.
उसे चाकू भोक के मारा गया |
He was stabbed to death.
