In response to growing demand, I’m having more and more conversations about interiors in English. And not quite in the way I once imagined—that I’d be designing projects abroad—but rather because more and more foreigners are reaching out to me: people married to Poles, as well as entire families who are settling here in Poland. From Ukraine, the UK, Switzerland, the USA, and even China. It’s become quite international, at least in Warsaw.

Poland has a construction market at a very high level, and it’s worth taking advantage—even out of sheer convenience—of the services of someone who moves confidently within this market.
The interior design process is a structured six-step collaboration focused on creating personalized, ergonomic, and aesthetic living spaces.

The Six-Step Design Path
1. In-depth Conversation: The process starts with a survey and interview to define your preferences regarding color schemes, style (mood boards), and functional needs.
2. Functional Layout: Designers develop a concept for the arrangement of walls, furniture, and equipment to ensure the space is comfortable and tailored to your lifestyle.
3. 3D Visualizations and Walkthroughs: Realistic 3D visuals allow you to understand the proportions, colors, and atmosphere of the interior before final decisions are made.
4. Technical Documentation: This stage involves preparing approximately 30 sheets of detailed technical drawings, including plans for demolition, electrical and plumbing installations, and custom furniture for contractors.
5. Shopping List: You receive a detailed list of finishing materials, furniture, and fixtures, including approximate prices and supplier contact details, which helps in budget planning and order management.
6. Author's Supervision: The designer remains available during the implementation phase to clarify technical doubts and ensure the project is carried out according to the design.
Timeline and Investment
• Duration: A comprehensive project typically takes between 6 to 15 weeks. Generally, an apartment requires a minimum of 10 weeks, while a single-family home takes at least 15 weeks.
• Pricing: Costs are determined individually and typically range from 160 to 250 PLN/m². Factors influencing the price include the type of investment (new vs. renovation), the scope of work, and the complexity of the arrangement.
• Economic Value: Professional design costs roughly 5% of the total finishing budget. This is considered an investment that prevents expensive mistakes arising from inexperience.
Additional Benefits
• Access to Experts: Working with a designer provides contact details for a network of trusted contractors, such as renovation teams, carpenters, and smart home installers.
• Reduced Risk: Because the project is implemented in stages, you maintain control over every decision, which reduces the risk of an unsatisfactory end result to virtually zero.

• 0:00 – Why Conscious Design is Crucial – Understanding that construction or renovation decisions are often made once in a lifetime, and there is usually no second chance to fix errors.
• 0:45 – The Design Path: A Comprehensive Cooperation Process – Introduction to a unique, tested methodology that ensures the home is functional and fully tailored to the resident.
• 1:30 – Step 1: In-depth Conversation – Filling out a functional survey, analyzing moodboards, and discussing inspirations and stylistic preferences.
• 3:00 – Step 2: Functional Layout – Creating a concept for the placement of partition walls and furniture to ensure the space is ergonomic and aesthetic.
• 4:30 – Step 3: Visualizations and 3D Walks – Preparing realistic 3D renders that help the client understand proportions, colors, and the atmosphere of the interior before final decisions are made.
• 6:00 – Step 4: Executive Drawings and Technical Documentation – Preparing detailed technical plans (electrical, plumbing, lighting) and custom furniture designs for contractors.
• 7:30 – Step 5: Shopping List and Budget Control – Managing orders for hundreds of items and determining the exact costs of the renovation before it even begins.
• 9:00 – Step 6: Author’s Supervision – The architect’s role in clarifying project details for contractors, which is especially vital during complex renovations of older buildings.
• 10:15 – Project Costs and Timeline – Factors influencing individual pricing (ranging from 160–200 PLN/m²) and the 6–15 week duration of the project.
