Cypress Firefly - Red List Vulnerable Species
I took this firefly video last year in the cypress swamps of southern Illinois. This is a very rare firefly species with a unique flashing pattern. The "Cypress Firefly" Photuris walldoxeyi, was first described by Lynn Fast. It has been Red Listed as vulnerable and only found in four states — IL, IN, MS, and TN. Repost & share freely.
