Renault Zoe M25 Motorway Challenge: will electric car complete a lap?
We took our Renault Zoe long-term test car on to the London Orbital M25 motorway to see if it will complete a full circuit without needing a recharge. It's official range is 250 miles but in real-world conditions it's more like 180 miles per charge. Increase the speed and the range drops significantly - Renault states 123 miles at 69mph. Near-freezing temperatures on the day of our test would also decrease the range, so it could be a bit tight. Will it make it?
