Ski Free or Die: Pt. 1
While I would never consider myself a "local", I did grow up skiing the White Mountains and they have a special place in my heart; along with an immense amount of character. "Steep and Deep" is a relative term and moments of glory are sometimes far and few between, or accompanied with plenty of ice, windbuff or bushwacking. Very grateful to have had some exploring with some great folks lately!
The last two years have been an interesting growth experience. Living far from the mountains and putting much more energy into my work rather than skiing, I felt I was loosing sight of some of the things that have given me the most joy (Obviously we need to dedicate time to our work in order to have professional growth). This winter I've made the exploration of these mountains a priority and thankfully mother nature has been cooperating! Here's a quick mashup of some adventures so far.
