I've fully embraced going second now. No Ash Blossom, no Nibiru, no trying to stop my opponent from setting up in the first place - just let them do what they want to do and go all-in on breaking it down. Is it the best strategy with the highest win rate? No. But is it still effective and a hell of lot more fun? Absolutely.
