Formidable Forces on the Rocks
For 91 years Hawk Mountain Sanctuary has been conducting fall season annual migration counts. For the past three decades Director of Stewardship, Todd Bauman, has been in awe of the commitment and dedication of Conservation Science Staff and Volunteers conducting these counts. The time commitment of observation in one location is intense, but then add weather conditions such as heat and cold, especially the cold.
