This is the debut of a body of composition developed by Micah Thomas in early 2024, designed to facilitate the improvisational languages that have already been developing between the members of the band. While this band has never performed together, many of the musicians have played together extensively in different situations.

Pianist, composer and educator Micah Thomas (born 1997 in Columbus, Ohio) moved to New York City in 2015 and has since played with and learned from many of the incredible musicians that live in the city. He has three albums out under his own name – his most recent one called “Reveal”, an album with his longstanding trio featuring Dean Torrey and Kayvon Gordon – and has appeared on several other musician’s albums. He tours internationally with the Immanuel Wilkins Quartet and appears frequently in NYC with many other groups, including his own trio and other projects.
