Hi, welcome back to the EaseUS channel! Capturing just a part of your screen can be super handy for a variety of reasons. Like: Focus on Key Details, Efficient Resource Use, Highlight Specific Areas and more.
Capturing just a portion of your screen allows for a more tailored and efficient recording experience! Despite the numerous screen recorders available for Windows, many don't offer the flexibility to freely resize the recording area.
EaseUS RecExperts is a comprehensive screen recorder for both Windows and Mac, offering the flexibility to record your entire screen or just a selected portion. You can record your entire screen or even multiple screens simultaneously. And the best part? It supports recording in up to 8K video quality, so you’ll get stunningly sharp results every time!
Method 1. Record Part of the Screen with EaseUS RecExperts
Ready to start recording with EaseUS RecExperts? Here’s how to make the most of it:
Step 1. First, Open the app on your computer and get set to capture your screen. For recording regions you have 2 options:
Full Screen: Opt for this to record everything happening on your screen.
The second option is the Region: Select this if you want to focus on a specific part of your screen.
Step 2. Now that you decided between these 2 options, now you have to customize your recording settings: Add a webcam feed, system sound, or microphone audio by clicking on the options you need. Feeling adventurous? Explore additional features like auto-split and auto-recording right from the interface.
Step 3. Ready? 3,2,1, Hit the red “REC” button to begin capturing. Need to take a break? Click the white double vertical bar to pause the recording. When you’re finished, click the red square to stop recording. Both controls are conveniently located on the menu bar.
Step 4. After recording, you’ll be directed to the recording list. From here, you can view, split, extract audio, take screenshots, delete, and manage your recordings.
If you’re ready for another session with the same settings, just click the “REC” button at the top of the window. And there you have it! You’re all set to record, manage, and tweak your footage with ease.
Method 2. Record Part of the screen with OBS Studio
OBS Studio is one of the most famous, cross-platform, and open-source screen recorder software worldwide. If you want to start and stop recording, just press the Windows logo key + Alt + G. It's that simple! You don't need to install any extra software on your PC, making it super convenient. Just remember, it's available only on Windows 10 and later versions, and it offers only basic recording options.
Step 1. Launch OBS Studio and click the "Sub-Region" button then, you will see a white box.
Step 2. Drag the corners and sides of this box to select the recording area according to your demands. Then press Enter/ESC or click outside the box to accept your selected recording area.
Step 3. Then, you can click the "Start Recording" to capture what you need. When you want to save the recording, click the "Stop Recording" button. And that’s it! You’re all set to capture and manage your screen recordings like a pro.
Based on my tests, EaseUS RecExperts stands out as the top screen recorder for capturing or taking screenshots on Windows 10, compared with many other software available out there which I didn’t mention on this video, but tested for days. It is an excellent choice if you're looking for a powerful tool to record specific portions of your screen on Windows.
Please share, like, and hit that bell icon! We hope to see you in our next video!
