Five years ago, partners from across the country joined together to form the first cohort of the Building Community Resilience collaborative, committed to addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences within the context of Adverse Community Environments – what we call the Pair of ACEs. Out of this work, the Center for Community Resilience was created as a nonpartisan policy resource and technical assistance center to help policymakers, institutions, organizations and grassroots collaboratives create measurable, lasting change, improving outcomes across multiple generations.
Our impact, growth and uptake has proven remarkable – an indication of the growing momentum in the Resilience Movement.
