2006 Dodge Sprinter: Replace cam sensor electrical connector
How to replace camshaft ( Cam ) sensor electrical connector on a 2004 2005 2006 Dodge Freightliner Mercedes Sprinter Van 2500 3500 with 2.7L inline 5 cylinder (i5) OM647 engine.
Has your cam sensor connector become brittle from heat and snapped the outer ring so it's now only held on by zip ties and bailing wire and hope? Not to worry, most Mercedes dealers have this part in stock. It's easy to replace.
Grab some electrical tape and split loom wire protector while you're out, and maybe a new PCV valve or injector seal washers & bolts to prevent this from happening again.
Careful not to squish the wire with the plastic engine cover, the wire must go thru the tiny slot in the metal valve cover, under thr fuel return line.
Zoom in and pause for part #, it's written on the connector.
