“Doosh Doosh,” the first single from Ein Sof — the latest album from Tel Aviv’s Itzhak Ventura is a meditation. A simple melody repeated and multiplied on a ney (middle eastern flute) laying atop a soft bed of ambient synthesizers. In the right setting, the track can wash your mind of the everyday anxieties that plague you. Ventura lifted melodic phrases from a traditional Persian song, adding his own gorgeous swirls and twists, as producer Rejoicer sequenced synths create a royal elegance. It’s a taste of the mystical daydreams that Ein-Sof offers — sounds that seem to stretch on forever.
