Over decades pharmacists have provided medicines and clinical services to people. To date this continues to be the main role of pharmacists. In low and middle income countries, pharmacists often spend more time performing supply chain roles than critical clinical ones. This leads to the question whether the training of pharmacists, particularly in Africa, should have a significant supply chain bias. In this webinar Dr Lloyd Matowe, Directors, Pharmaceuticals Systems Africa, Zambia, joins SAPICS and the IAPHL South Africa chapter to discuss the middle ground between traditional pharmacist roles and those reimaged to focus on country and patient needs.
