Saka Nakoder refers to a tragic incident that occurred on February 4, 1986, in Nakodar, Punjab. During a peaceful religious procession and pro test against the desecration of the Guru Granth Sahib (Beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib), the sacred scripture of Sikhs, Indian security forces opened fi+re on the participants. Four Sikh men—Ravinder Singh, Baldhir Singh Multani, Jhilman Singh, and Harminder Singh—were unlawfully ki=lled.
The incident has left a lasting impact on the community, with families tirelessly seeking justice for over three decades. Despite the establishment of a commission of inquiry, the full report remains incomplete, and the families continue to advocate for accountability
