Battle of Pell's Point, 1776, American Revolutionary War, Glover's Regiments
The Battle of Pell's Point was part of the continuing, strategic Battle for New York in 1776. See my playlist "Battle for New York" for a description of all the engagements from Spring through November as Gen Washington fights to prevent the British from taking control of Manhattan Island.
In this video, I use an old, hand-drawn map of the area. I think it best illustrates the general area in which the battle took place, as well as the surrounding areas. It is not the most accurate map, but the best, I believe, for this purpose.
I appeared in an episode of Travel Channel's Mysteries at the Museum about Pell's Point. The episode title is "Kidnapped Filmmaker, Pinky’s Freedom Ring and the Checkered Game of Life," Season 12 Episode 1.
