An experiment in vertical phone video: Trying out a new venue for recording last night (my new home church, Holy Trinity Episcopal in Inwood). Having a think on how to record other singers in an intriguing way, rather than the standard one camera boring shot.
I realized having a wide angle shot on top of a vertical screen gave assurance to casting directors and competitions the video is verifiably one long take, despite the editing of closeups of singer and pianist. Dunno. Thinking thru options. Open to ideas in the comments below! Just a rough audio mix, without mastering. I have no idea how to mix for phone speakers. Yet. Headphones will help.
