I first discovered RADWIMPS when I was 14, just like the girl in this song.
Back then, it was an on-and-off relationship, I couldn’t understand Japanese very well yet, and some of their genres didn’t quite resonate with me at the time.
But I always found myself coming back to their music. There was something comforting about it, something that stayed—even when I didn’t fully understand the words.
Now that I can finally grasp the lyrics, their songs mean even more to me. And just last year, after 10 years, I finally got to meet them in person at a concert—exactly like the story in this song.
I know many others have had a similar experience, which is why I felt the need to translate this song. I wanted fellow fans to know that RADWIMPS is just as thankful, and that they feel this connection too.
