this video covers THE MCGURK EFFECT, a strange phenomenon that occurs when we experience conflicting visual and auditory information. we'll cover the original paper (McGurk & Macdonald, 1976) along with a newer study that uncovers what's going on in the brain when we experience this effect (Beauchamp, Nath, & Pasalar, 2010).
