What is the difference between OVF (Open Virtualization Format) and OVA (Open Virtual Appliance)?
OVF is an open standard which contains multiple files as a package while OVA is s a single file distribution of the OVF file package comprised of files that were bundled together. When you export a virtual machine as an OVF file, you create a directory that contains an OVF file and the virtual disk files. The OVA is a newer version of the OVF format.
