Welcome to the introductory lesson to the "Adobe Premiere Pro: Basics" video course. In this lesson, we will cover:

The goal of the course is to teach you how to edit efficiently and quickly. Since the course covers literally every button of the program, you will not have a situation (I want to believe it) when you are afraid to press "something wrong" because you will know what this or that function is responsible for. Also, after completing the course, you may feel that everyone else is editing slowly, somehow incorrectly, and that you know more than they do. That's okay :)
In this course, we will edit a fitness equipment commercial on clips for a real commercial. All the necessary editing materials can be downloaded from the link below, so you can follow along with what I'll do in the next lessons or edit on your own clips.

If you want to learn more about other features of Premiere Pro, I recommend taking the course "Adobe Premiere Pro: Advanced" course (still in progress), but the basic level will allow you to edit a vacation vlog for YouTube or a short movie.
