With a total length of 2,857 kilometers, the Danube is the second largest river in Europe and flows through ten countries (worldwide record) until it flows into the Black Sea. But because the Danube, which has its source in the Black Forest, flows only 647 kilometers through Germany, it only manages to occupy fourth place of the longest rivers in Germany.
