5 - La Bastringue, popular circle mixer, is how our caller, Ed Vincent, is breaking the ice for the dance. Our Detroit based band is the Corn Potato String Band. On fiddles we have Aaron Jonah Lewis and Lindsay McCall, on banjo is Grace Van't Hoff, on bass is Rachel Pearson, and on the guitar we have Hannah Lewis. This is a Special Birthday dance for Syma's 80th. The Outreach Fund of the Country Dance and Song Society is assisting OCTDS in putting this dance on. First United Methodist Church of Troy is our host location.
