#askmark Hi Mark. Quick question. I currently use the digital compass on my shearwater peregrine computer which is okay but the way it goes on my wrist makes it harder to keep my heading straight while naturally swimming. And if I have the computer the correct way, it gets close to all the metal on my d-rings. So I end up keeping my arm in its natural position and taking a heading that way (which is basically ~45° off of the actual heading). This works when I am using the compass with natural features or a mooring line. But if i am using a map to plan the dive headings. that doesn’t make sense. Is there a better way to use the digital computer compass? Or do I need to get an analog one for when planning a dive with maps. Thanks
