A ride on Lextran (ex-Cincinnati Metro)
Three of Cincinnati Metro's 2001 Gillig Phantoms found new homes in Lexington, KY after retirement. Seen here is #940. This was one of the few remaining Phantoms that never received Cincinnati's new paint scheme and remained in its black-and-white scheme. Lextran did very little to make it their own apart from reprogramming the destination signs and slapping their logo onto the side.
These videos were taken in late November 2017. By spring 2019, all three Phantoms had been retired due to engine issues. This bus was substituting on what was normally a Proterra-exclusive route due to maintenance issues.
