Microsoft Are Buying Discord...
Microsoft (owners of Skype, Mixer and Xbox), Epic Games (owners of Fortnite) and Amazon (owners of Twitch) are in "talks" with Discord supposedly about buying the application for approximately $10 billion USD. There are also some big talks about Discord hitting Wall Street and becoming a public company.
Many gamers from communities such as; Fortnite, Among Us and Minecraft talk using Discord with their friends when playing games. Content creators, many whom are the biggest on YouTube (such as Dream SMP Creators, MrBeast and PewDiePie), all use Discord. Controversial creators including That Vegan Teacher also use the platform (hint for future video). But what will be the future of the platform if this acquisition occurs?
What would happen to Discord Badges, Discord Partner, Free Discord Nitro through certain methods and even Discord Servers themselves? Would Microsoft alter that?
In the background I played Hypixel Bedwars; let me know what game modes you’d want to see in the future. I am thinking of playing Skywars, Skyblock or doing Parkour. I am playing on 1.8.9 with optifine and the Panda Pack by Notrodan. I do not like Minecraft 1.9 but may update to 1.17 and do survival in the future as the cave update is cool.
