|| Project Kid Horse- Part 2- Snickers vs Desensitizing ||
After roundpenning a horse and getting the thinking side of their brain ticking I like to introduce desensitizing. Desensitizing needs to include teaching the horse to not fear both you and your tools. Horses are prey animals and we are predators and we both speak in different languages. That doesn't work does it? Humans have instincts to talk to the horse however, when you do most of the time your body language isn't as strong and you confuse the horse. Watch as I work on desensitizing Snickers to the lead rope to allow her to understand the difference between sensitizing and desensitizing.
