Dr. Spatula - For the Grater Good
Mr. Grater has a wedge of cheese stuck inside him, and only the whimsical oddball Dr. Spatula can save the day! Meet lots of other fun characters like the hyperactive Dr. Steel Wooly, well-mannered Nurse Rolling Pin, conjoined sisters Nurse Tongs, and only-sane-man Intern Scooper.
This is a traditionally (hand-drawn) animated short that I started when I was 16 and finished at the age of 18. This cartoon is a collaboration with professional animator/animation professor Ed Price, who pitched the concept and wrote most of the script. These are the tools I used for production: Pencil, pen, paper and a scanner for the initial drawings. Adobe Illustrator for digital inking. Adobe Photoshop for coloring, backgrounds and some in-betweens. And lastly, Sony Vegas to put it all together.
