9 lakh people ordered to remain at home as COVID cases are reported in Wuhan, China
Around nine lakh residents of Hanyang District in China's Wuhan have been ordered to stay at home from Wednesday after new COVID-19 cases were found, officials said. The lockdown will reportedly last until Sunday. All non-essential businesses will remain shut during this period, but supermarkets and pharmacies will remain operational. Wuhan on Tuesday recorded 18 COVID-19 cases in the community.
