Another beautiful Reinhardt/Grappelli composition. It's not a particularly difficult piece to play on violin but is it challenging to play it with style, in tune and with a pure and velvet-like tone. This is a matter of training your classical chops (in my case one hour a day of Kreutzer etudes, scales and vibrato exercises). Stochelo plays a beautiful flowing solo!
I like how at 1:03 Stochelo is looking at Nous'che like: "you never guess what I'm about to do" and he plays harmonics with a look of mischief, haha!
I might be playing with the Rosenberg Trio and Bireli Lagrene on the 25th of june in Samois; can't wait, a dream come true!
Line-up:
solo guitar: Stochelo Rosenberg
rhythm guitar: Nous'che Rosenberg
bass: Nonnie Rosenberg
violin: Christiaan van Hemert
