This is my carbon frame repair howto.

[UPDATE: I'm told that is the wrong way to do a carbon repair (r/MTB), Supposedly I was supposed to lay-up the carbon in pieces, not wrap around the frame, the pieces should be run with the length of the frame, and probably a few layers running the other way. Also, I should have removed the cable guide, also the density should match the frame. Other criticisms are that I should have stirred slowly and sanded with wet sand paper so that I don't breathe the carbon dust, (also I should completely stop making videos). However I have learned also that this was a carbon weave, so it should provide structure strength in both directions... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'll let you know if it breaks ]
[UPDATE 2] I did a fiberfix wrap around the affected area and the bike has held up great for over a year. This was NOT a professional job but it worked. Your mileage may vary.

This was my first time but it was very similar to fixing a broken surfboard using epoxy and carbon fiber instead of resin and fiberglass. This is using a cheap $30 kit found on amazon or ebay.

Watch as I try to fix my broken carbon santa cruz frame.

Note, if it doesn't hold, being that it is a rear triangle, far from the rider, the consequences aren't that dire (unless it is a freak accident). Right?

I think that I am going to add some fiberfix layers to just strengthen this up a little bit more.

If that breaks, well, like I said, I'll just fix it again.
