IRegained has a solution that helps people who have sustained a brain injury from stroke regain hand function that is lost due to the trauma. CEO Vineet Johnson demonstrates IRegained’s MyHand Device, which helps to rebuild and retrain the fine-motor control in the hand and fingers.

PITCH is NORCAT’s marquee event that highlights and supports the top tech startups in our community and encourages the community, thought leaders, and potential investors to support them! Every year, four startups take the stage to pitch their venture, in hopes of engaging local angel investors to get them to invest in their company. A panel of “tried and true” investors will ask challenging questions to validate the company and the market opportunity. The goal of PITCH, while entertaining and exciting, is to ultimately get business done.

Judges:
Billy Lai is an Associate at iGan Partners, Canada’s largest healthcare VC investor. As an Associate, Billy is involved in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of iGan’s investments. He is actively involved with a number of iGan portfolio companies, providing general operational, strategic, and financial support.
Ricardo Pereira is currently Senior Manager at BDC’s Technology Industry group. Before joining BDC, Ricardo worked as Deputy Director for Switzerland Global Enterprise in Brazil for over 10 years where he was responsible for export and trade of hundreds of Swiss companies in that market.
Tom Rand is a Senior Advisor at the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto, Managing Partner of ArcTern Ventures (a private cleantech-focussed venture fund), an author of two books about climate change, energy systems and cleantech, and a frequent media pundit on the same topics.
