Our Navy's Ming class submarine is going on routine sea patrol
Bangladesh navy purchased two Type 035G Ming class attack submarines: BNS Nabajatra and BNS Joyjatra from China to build the bd navy as a modern navy. The Ming class submarine is a licensed copy version of the Romeo class submarine made in Russia.
Bangladesh Navy uses two submarines as trainers to be able to have more modern submarines in the future. Meanwhile, with the help of China, a dedicated submarine base is being set up in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.
Besides Bangladesh Navy can modify their Ming Class submarines capable of firing Anti-Ship and Anti-Surface missiles if they want. BD Navy submarines use state-of-the-art ET-40 Submarine-launched Torpedo as a torpedo. The range of each torpedo is about 36 km.
Ming Class Submarines bought from China are basically bought as training submarines. But they can also be used as attack submarines. It is also possible to fire Anti Ship Missile and Anti Surface Cruise missiles from them.
Bangladesh Navy Anirban has shown several times that it is possible to attack ships and land from submarines.
The Chinese submarine Type-039C / 41 Yuan class submarine was displayed at the Bangladesh Navy stall at the 2016 development fair. Maybe our upcoming submarine is going to be the Type-039C / 41 Yuan Class submarine.
The Bangladesh Navy submarine fleet may have a total of 7/8 attack submarines. Bangladesh buys two training submarines from China (Type-035G Ming Class Submarine) which may be retired by 2030.
If Bangladesh buys 2/3 more attack submarines from China, it will increase India's anger many times over. It is better to say that South Asia is a game-changer.
