Fargo Season One Tribute
To begin describing the first season of Fargo is almost an impossibility, as by all expectations, it shouldn't even exist. A spin off series of the film of the same name written and directed by Joel & Ethan Coen, we follow Lester Nygaard (Martin Freeman); a lowly shlub of a man who one day decides to stand up for himself, as he meets a stranger one day named Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton).
It could've been easy for this series to follow the same formula of the film, but writer/showrunner Noah Hawley crafts a well done story that more than earns it's place in television history; as the show acts less like an adaptation of Fargo, and more like a love letter to The Coen Brothers' work in general. I encourage everyone to watch this show, by any means necessary. If you love True Detective, Breaking Bad, and the film Fargo? You'll LOVE Fargo, dontcha know?
