Hailing from a cultural background where the mission is to safely transport girls from their fathers' to their husbands. Breaking free from stereotypes is almost like taking a deep plunge into the unknown. The Bangladeshi people are deeply embedded into strange cultural traditions where anything out of the norm is looked down upon, raising multiple sets of carefully plucked eyebrows.
Nobody bats an eye at the prospect of a grown man traveling independently, but a female frolicking around an alien land will lead to thinly disguised misogyny.
But they don't realize - anything men can do, women can do bleeding...
