FIFA International Soccer (1993)
The overall aesthetics and mechanics of this 1993 game, to most people, would feel like an upgrade from the football game we’re all used to playing on our unbreakable Nokia phones. Only this time, the game is not black and white. With similar movement mechanics and the sliding being the only notable difference between the Nokia and FIFA games, it’s only normal that kids at the time jump in excitement to get their hands on the game.
FIFA Soccer 95 (1994)
Released in the year 1995, FIFA Soccer 95 is a chip off the old block of its predecessor. FIFA International Soccer with the major difference between the two games is the addition of player pointers only. Overall, it’s a pretty cool game. Just a bit choppy with the graphics.
FIFA Soccer 96 (1995)
Soccer 96 features a major upgrade from its predecessors as EA sports took into account the terrible mechanics their previous games had. In this game, EA sports upgraded the graphics, feel, and movement mechanics to be a bit more player-friendly. So, instead of the choppy graphics and 2D movement players were used to seeing, they experienced something actually good at that time.
FIFA 97 (1996)
If you thought EA sports ended their graphic upgrade back at Soccer 96, you’re in for a big surprise as 97 had quite the upgrade in terms of graphic quality and movement dynamics. Aside from the stiff goalpost and frigid football, controlling each player felt freer! Thumbs up to them!
FIFA Soccer 64 (1997)
For the first time ever, EA sports took the little details into consideration. In this 1997 release, if a player strikes the ball into the net, the net shakes! Not only that — the game came with 3D movement. Awesome right? Well, we just got tired of telling you about how much better the movement mechanics got compared to FIFA 97 cos you know EA almost never disappoints.
